Welcome to Berta's Papers where you will find all the endpapers I make of rice starch paste.

The decorative technic of paste papers goes back to the 17C. Since then it has been used for book exterior decoration and protection. It shares the spotlight with other decorative methods such as marbling, xylography, gilding or brocade.

My output may be classified as antique and contemporary.

They are in the 70x50cms format (27.50x19.75 in.) and need no additional treatment for their use for bookbinding or manipulated into folders, boxes, photo albums, etc. Some models are available in different colours.

All papers are available at bertasantospinet@gmail.com.
